My photography began as a necessity in college. Since that time, my photo experience has been built on journalistic principles, with a mix of art photography. I have a passion for photographing the arts in progress - meaning no flash, fast shutter - capturing the moment, as it happens. In addition to theatre photography, speakers, events and environmental portraits make up my portfolio while "on assignment."

My studio extends far outside the confines of an inside room full of flashes. i prefer portraits of people in their environments using natural light to its fullest. I also have a small studio to showcase work and people. See samples in my portfolio.

Being mostly an editorial photographer, my photo editing skills focus on making a photo look the best without changing the photo itself. With portraits, I work with the subject to ensure the look they want - retouching, creative looks and editing, color effects and other elements using Adobe Photoshop.
